With all the special edition Dodge Viper models built during the car’s 25-year life, the Snakeskin Edition remains one of our favorites. This 2017 Dodge Viper GTC ACR is one of only 31 units built in the last production year of the Viper.
The GTC ACR Snakeskin Edition models include a custom SRT stripe with snakeskin pattern, ACR package, Extreme Aero package, carbon ceramic brakes, ACR interior, serialized snakeskin badge on the instrument panel, a custom car cover to match the exterior color scheme and shows the customer’s name above the driver’s door.
Designed to provide maximum downforce, the Extreme Aero package included a revised hood with removable slats, a front splitter with a detachable extension, four dive planes, an adjustable two-element rear wing and a carbon fiber rear diffuser. The Extreme Aero package allowed the Viper ACR to deliver 1,101 lbs. downforce at 150 mph and 1,533 lbs. downforce at 177 mph, the car’s top speed.
The car sits on offset Finspeed forged wheels mounted with 295/30 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in the front and Toyo Proxes RR tires in the rear. Beadlocks are mounted on the rear wheels. Braking power is provided by Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes with red callipers, and the car is fitted with a 10-way manually adjustable suspension.

Inside, the Viper features six-way adjustable Sabelt sports seats, upholstered in black leather with Alcantara inserts and embossed Viper lettering. Additional equipment includes a Snakeskin Edition decal on the dash identifying this car as No. 18 out of 31 built, gold finish, automatic climate control, a PPG bar shifter, an LED gear selector display, a Keyless Enter-N-Go passive input system , a rear-view camera and an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with navigation. If this car sounds familiar to you, it’s because we mentioned it in a previous article. You may remember when YouTube personality Streetspeed717 owned this exact car and jumped on it with a Ram 1500 TRX. Yes, the current seller bought the car from him earlier this year.
With less than 6,000 miles on the odometer, the car is offered in Texas with a neat Pennsylvania title. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and provides an overview of the history in Texas, Oregon, Arizona and Pennsylvania. The car is said to have been inspected by Calvo Motorsports earlier this year.
Listed on BringATrailer.com, the car is currently for sale until Thursday, October 6. At the time of writing this article, the car has already hit a bid of just under $300,000, showing that Vipers continues to have high sales figures.
