Cadillac and e& Team Up to Bring the Coveted ‘Car of The Future’ to GITEX 2022

Dubai: Cadillac Arabia and e& (formerly known as Etisalat Group) are teaming up to bring the InnerSpace concept – an impressive two-passenger electric and fully autonomous luxury vehicle – to the region’s most prominent technology event, GITEX Global 2022. Car of the Future, widely regarded as the most visited exhibition at the show, the InnerSpace Concept will be proudly displayed on the e& stand in The Technology Innovators Showcase.

With the goal of converting 25 percent of total transportation in Dubai to autonomous mode by 2030, the InnerSpace Concept illustrates what the future of mobility could look like in the Emirate, the UAE and the Arab world. Using advanced technologies designed to enhance the passenger experience, the InnerSpace Concept allows two passengers to focus on safely enjoying their journeys, representing autonomous mobility as an ally of well-being and more personal time.

InnerSpace is part of a trio of visionary cars from The Cadillac Halo Concept Portfolio, which also includes PersonalSpace (VTOL) and SocialSpace (PAV). The portfolio solves the complex day-to-day transportation needs of future customers while recognizing their desire for experiential fulfillment and ethical product choices. It also embodies this vision for the next decade and beyond, showing how General Motors can achieve its goal of a world of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion.

The vehicle’s fully autonomous capability means passengers can explore more of the world around them, as well as inside the vehicle, with more personalized and tailored experiences that add new dimensions to Cadillac’s signature luxury experience. AI-powered biometric inputs and interfaces, accessed through a large, immersive and panoramic SMD LED display, allow passengers to choose from Augmented Reality Engagement, Entertainment and Wellness Recovery themes for their ride. Ultifi allows Cadillac engineers and authorized third parties to come up with additional themes and features that can be added over the air.

With the Ultium Platform’s wireless battery management system, the battery modules are spread throughout the concept vehicle, allowing designers to optimize the cabin for spaciousness and serenity. This freedom of design also allowed for a low-profile floor, which offered an extremely low, sports car-like seating position.

On the outside, the dramatically designed InnerSpace has extensive panoramic glazing on the roof and part of the body sides for almost unobstructed visibility. The roof opens with the doors for more comfortable entry and exit, and the seats also swing out when the doors are opened, enhancing the effect.

Even the InnerSpace straps are designed to add to the comfort. Developed by Goodyear for electrified vehicles, they feature SoundComfort technology designed to help reduce sound wave resonance in the tire for a quieter ride, while soybean oil and rice husk-based silica replace petroleum-based oil as a key ingredient in their construction. And because autonomous driving takes away some of the driver’s connection to the road, Goodyear SightLine, Goodyear’s tire intelligence technology, transmits important information about pressure, temperature, load and other performance factors.

The InnerSpace Concept will be on display at the Technology Innovators Showcase at GITEX Global 2022.
