The 2022 Dodge Journey, which was not on the market in the 2020 production year, is back and facing stiff competition. The market for a midsize SUV is currently incredibly saturated, and the 2022 Journey will have at least 10 other competitors challenging its return to the market.

The car has a combined fuel economy of about 25 MPG. Starting at around $27,000, the Cleverness Journey is a respectable machine, but how does it compare to its direct competitors?

The Ford Explorers’ mileage is similar to that of the Journey, coming in at 27.5 combined MPG and starting at a higher price point than any of the previous models listed here, $33,000 for the standard model alone.

But what sets it apart from the others is that the high-end trims, such as the King-Ranch or Platinum models, can hit over 400 horsepower, more than twice as fast as the Dodge Journey.
