RAM 1500 G/T is half-ton perfection – Daily Freeman

It’s Truck Week in Grasso’s Garage!

When Fiat calls Chrysler Automobiles and wants a review at Grasso’s Garage, our ears always perk up. Their huge selection of beautiful cars from Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Chrysler and RAM have so many options that they have become one of our favorite brands. With UConnect at our fingertips and comfort at the forefront of all models, we can’t wait for them to appear.

This week it’s all about RAM and the ever-popular 1500 half-ton pickup. In typical pickup truck fashion, consumers immediately think of work trucks and construction sites, etc. But for RAM, that’s not the case. Although it dominates the construction site building market, comfort tops the charts for everyday consumers.

Our tester, a Ram 1500 Laramie G/T Crew Cab. At a fantastic base price of $50K, this truck has tons of potential. Wrapped in Delmonico Red Pearl and the ever-powerful 5.7 liter HEMI V8 eTorque engine, we are sure to have a great experience. The 8-speed automatic transmission was smooth and quiet, but the exhaust – it doesn’t get any better! For a measly $2,995, the G/T package upgrade was great. Nice comfy seats, performance pages option in the Uconnect monster 12-inch display, cold air intake, passive cold exhaust, 3.92 rear axle ratio and that sports performance hood that everyone loves to enjoy.

As you know, FCA is known for its endless options and our GT Laramie was perfectly chosen for our weekly tester. Averaging just 20 mpg, the RAM 1500 was nice, comfortable, and offered all the useful features of a pickup truck. Did we mention the back seat? Our Crew Cab was so spacious that we could move a small apartment into it.

For RAM, they’re clearly Grasso’s Garage’s favorite pickup on the market right now, and for good reason. They look good, are comfortable, spacious and above all exclusive to you, because their options list gives the consumer the option to build it the way they want it, confirming that your neighbor doesn’t have the exact same truck as you, or for me, nobody in town!
